Authorities at Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal have issued a notice informing passengers of several temporary changes to flight operations due to operational reasons. These changes affect services operated by IndiGo and Air India, with a total of eight flights impacted.
IndiGo Suspends Hyderabad Route for Two Weeks
IndiGo’s Hyderabad–Bhopal–Hyderabad service, operating under flight numbers 6E7523 and 6E7524, will be suspended for a two-week period. The carrier has cancelled this route from June 1 to June 15, 2026, disrupting connections between the state capital and Hyderabad during that interval.
Air India Announces Extended Suspensions on Mumbai and Delhi Routes
Air India has declared extended suspensions on two of its Bhopal services. The Mumbai–Bhopal–Mumbai flight, designated as AI633 and AI634, will remain cancelled from June 1 through July 31, 2026. However, the airline will operate the service on two exception dates: June 18 and July 7, within the suspension window. Meanwhile, the Delhi–Bhopal–Delhi service, operating as AI1723 and AI1894, will be grounded for the entire month of July, with cancellations effective from July 1 to July 31, 2026.
Frequency Reduction on Bengaluru Route
Passengers travelling on Bengaluru routes should also note schedule adjustments. IndiGo’s Bengaluru–Bhopal–Bengaluru service, under flight numbers 6E368 and 6E393, will see a reduction in frequency for an extended period. From June 17 to October 24, 2026, the flight will operate three times weekly, running only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The carrier has not indicated any additional exception dates for this change.
Airport Officials Advise Passengers to Check with Airlines
Airport officials reiterated that these revisions stem from operational considerations and advised affected passengers to check updated flight statuses directly with IndiGo and Air India. “Travellers holding bookings on the listed flights are encouraged to contact their airlines for information on rebooking, refunds, or alternate routings,” said Ramjee Awasthi, Director of Raja Bhoj Airport.
Raja Bhoj Airport officials added that they will continue coordinating with carriers to minimise disruption and will share further updates as they become available.
