Jhansi: Bundelkhand University has implemented extensive high-tech arrangements to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the Uttar Pradesh Combined B.Ed Entrance Examination 2026. The exam is scheduled to be held on Sunday across 1,011 examination centres in 72 districts of the state. Approximately 4.45 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the examination, which will be conducted in two sessions.
Enhanced Security Measures
To ensure a fair process and an examination free from unfair means, the university has deployed 142 University Representatives who will monitor the conduct of the examination in various districts. Vice-Chancellor of Bundelkhand University, Prof Mukesh Pandey, who has been personally supervising the preparations for over a month, stated that for the first time, all University Representatives have been equipped with advanced body-worn cameras. These cameras are designed to strengthen security, confidentiality, transparency, and strict compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Features of Body-Worn Cameras
The body-worn cameras are integrated with several modern features, including live video streaming, audio recording, two-way communication, GPS-based location tracking, emergency alarm systems, and direct connectivity with the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at the university. The ICCC functions as a full-fledged central monitoring hub, overseeing the examination process in real time through live feeds from CCTV cameras installed at examination centres across the state.
Central Monitoring System
University officials stated that the control centre will continuously monitor every stage of the examination and provide immediate guidance and support whenever required. The monitoring system will become operational from 4 am on Sunday and will track the movement and activities of the representatives throughout the day. The integrated two-way communication facility will enable representatives to establish direct contact with the ICCC at any time, ensuring swift response to any issue and enhancing overall examination security.
Confidence in Integrity
The university administration expressed confidence that the use of advanced surveillance technology and centralised monitoring will help maintain the integrity and transparency of one of the state's largest entrance exams.
