CBI Recruitment 2026: 4500 Apprentice Posts

The Central Bank of India has officially announced the recruitment of 4,500 apprentices for the financial year 2026-27. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the designated portals starting June 12, 2026.

Important Dates

The online registration process commenced on June 12, 2026, and will conclude on June 22, 2026. The tentative online examination is scheduled for the first week of July 2026. Candidates must ensure timely submission of applications and fee payment by June 22, 2026.

Vacancy Details

A total of 4,500 apprentice positions are available under the Apprentices Act, 1961, distributed across various states and Union Territories. Key states with high vacancy counts include:

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university. Candidates who have previously completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible. Additionally, those with one year or more of job experience or training after obtaining the required qualification cannot apply.

Age Limit

The eligibility cut-off date is May 31, 2026. Detailed age criteria and category-wise relaxations are specified in the official notification.

Selection Process

The selection comprises an online examination, a local language proficiency test, document verification, and a medical fitness assessment. The online exam includes 100 questions on General and Financial Awareness, Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude, Computer Knowledge, General English, and Central Bank of India Products and Services. The test duration is 60 minutes, with no negative marking.

Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000 during the 12-month training period. No additional allowances or employee benefits are provided.

Application Fee

The fee varies by category: General/EWS/OBC Male: Rs 944; General/EWS/OBC Female: Rs 708; SC/ST: Rs 236; Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Rs 236; Transgender: Rs 236. All fees include applicable GST.

After registration, eligible candidates will receive instructions to complete the application via the designated portal by providing personal details, category information, district preferences, and fee payment.
