The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally launched the portal for Class 12 students to apply for revaluation and verification of issues observed in answer sheet scans, after missing the initial June 1 deadline. The portal became available on Tuesday, and students can now submit their applications until midnight on June 6.
How to Access the Portal
To log in to the portal, students must enter their Aadhaar number. The portal can be accessed at cbse.gov.in/newsite_old/rchk.html. CBSE has introduced Aadhaar verification for security purposes. For students who do not have an Aadhaar card, they can use the Aadhaar details of a parent, relative, or guardian. In such cases, the name, date of birth, and gender on the application must match the person whose Aadhaar number is used.
Fees and Application Process
Students are required to pay a fee of Rs 100 per answer book for verification and resolution of any issues observed in the scans. These issues may include missing pages, supplementary sheets, maps or graphs, blurred pages, incorrect answer books, or evaluation against a different set. For revaluation of a specific answer, the cost is Rs 25 per question. The fee must be paid through online modes only.
Important Guidelines
- Only one application each for revaluation and verification of issues is permitted.
- Students can select issues across multiple subjects in a single application.
- Once the 'Freeze and Proceed to payment' button is clicked, the details will be locked and cannot be changed.
The board has also released a tutorial to assist students with the application process. This step aims to streamline the process and ensure that students can address any concerns regarding their answer sheets efficiently.
