The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed that its re-evaluation portal was targeted by cyberattacks on the very first day of its launch. The portal finally went live after repeated delays over the past four days, but students continue to face technical difficulties.
CBSE Addresses Cyberattack Concerns
In a statement on social media, CBSE HQ reported that the revaluation portal is currently supporting over 8,000 concurrent users. As of 3:00 PM on June 2, 2026, more than 16,000 students had successfully completed their submissions. The board acknowledged the cyberattacks but assured that efforts were underway to resolve the issues.
Student Complaints Persist
Despite CBSE's assurances, many students have taken to social media to report persistent glitches. One user, Nitin G, tweeted that the sign-in feature was not working, with an error message stating 'Login Request failed' despite entering correct credentials. Another user, Adv. Vineet Jindal, shared screenshots from students facing difficulties in accessing answer sheets and completing the re-evaluation process.
Student Adi expressed frustration, stating that after five attempts, the portal still wasn't working, and urged CBSE to take action as counselling sessions have already begun. Shantinath Chaudhary criticized the board, suggesting that the website was hastily created and heavily bugged, causing struggles for users.
Background of the Portal Launch
The re-evaluation portal was launched after multiple delays, which had already caused anxiety among students awaiting their Class 12 results. The cyberattacks on Day 1 have added to the challenges, with the board working to ensure stability and security.
CBSE has not yet provided a timeline for when all issues will be fully resolved. Students are advised to keep trying and report any persistent problems to the board's support team.
