CM Revanth to Launch Telangana Public School in Rangareddy

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is set to launch the Telangana Public School (TPS) at Arutla in Rangareddy district on Wednesday. The event will include a special meeting with students, teachers, and school committee members, where the Chief Minister will interact with them and seek their opinions while sharing breakfast. Following the interaction, Revanth will address a public meeting.

School Features and Curriculum

TPS, with English as the medium of instruction, has been developed under the supervision of the Education Commission. The school offers education from nursery to Intermediate level, with equal emphasis on sports, cultural activities, and personality development. Students will receive free transportation, breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks.

Pilot Project and Expansion Plans

The government has selected four schools for the TPS pilot project. In the first phase, the chosen schools include Arutla and Manchala in Rangareddy district, as well as Vangur and Polkampalli in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district. An action plan has been formulated to expand the Telangana Public School concept across the state, with a target of establishing 100 such schools in a phased manner.

Current Enrollment

Currently, 1,814 students are studying at Arutla Telangana Public School. The pre-primary section has 150 students, the primary section has 600, the two high school blocks have 800 students, and the first and second years of Intermediate have 160 and 104 students, respectively.
