Kanpur: An electric scooter caught fire due to a short circuit in the Panki police station area on Wednesday, leaving the vehicle completely burnt. The incident occurred near LML Crossing when the scooter's owner, Virendra Mishra, was commuting to work.

Mishra, a resident of Patrasa, had purchased the electric scooter approximately six months ago. On Wednesday, while he was riding to his workplace, smoke began emanating from the vehicle near LML Crossing. Within moments, the scooter caught fire due to a short circuit. The flames were intense, forcing Mishra to abandon the scooter, which was soon reduced to ashes.
