Hyderabad: A massive fire ripped through a warehouse storing electric two-wheelers in Jantha Nagar, Moosapet, on Tuesday evening, destroying dozens of vehicles and sending thick plumes of black smoke into the sky, sparking panic among residents.

Fire Breaks Out at Warehouse

Fire officials said a distress call was received around 3:40 pm, reporting the blaze at a godown used by a private company to store electric two-wheelers. The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the vehicles as towering smoke and fire were visible from afar.

Suspected Cause of the Fire

An officer from the Moosapet fire station said the warehouse was old and housed non-functional electric two-wheelers, suspected to belong to PAQIU Company. Based on preliminary observations, we suspect the fire may have originated from the battery of one of the vehicles, the official noted. The exact cause will be known only after a detailed investigation.
