Galaxy Z Fold8 Series Introduces Advanced Hinge and Crease-less Display
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 series is set to revolutionize foldable phones with a sturdier hinge and a nearly invisible crease on the display. The series will include two new models: a narrow-body Galaxy Z Fold8 and a wide-body Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip8.
Durable Hinge Design
The new hinge is engineered to be more stable and resistant to flexing, enhancing durability over time. This improvement addresses common concerns about foldable phone longevity.
Crease-less Display Technology
The foldable display will feature a less visible crease, setting a new benchmark for screen smoothness in the foldable market. Samsung aims to minimize the visual and tactile distraction that has plagued previous generations.
Two Distinct Models
Samsung plans to launch a narrow-body Galaxy Z Fold8 for users preferring a more traditional phone width, and a wide-body Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra for those who want a larger screen experience. The Galaxy Z Flip8 will also join the lineup.
Enhanced Specifications
The Z Fold8 series may include a triple camera module, larger batteries (4,800mAh for the wide-body model and 5,000mAh for the narrow-body model), and either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos chipsets. All three phones will run Android 17-based One UI 9 out of the box.
Launch Date and Expectations
The series is expected to launch on July 22. According to industry sources, these upgrades position Samsung to maintain its lead in the foldable smartphone segment.
