A leakage from a pipeline of Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) was reported in Mumbai's Dadar area on Friday evening, a civic official said. No fire or injuries were reported in the incident, according to news agency PTI.

Following the alert, teams from the Fire Brigade, police, and MGL rushed to the spot. Efforts were underway to stop the leakage, the official said.

According to officials, the leak was reported at 6:01 pm near Anugraha Hotel on Gokhale Road in Dadar. As a precautionary measure, the area was cordoned off by authorities, the civic official added.
The prompt response from emergency services ensured that the situation was contained without any harm to residents or property. Residents in the vicinity were advised to avoid the area until the leak was fully secured.
MGL officials stated that repair work would commence as soon as the leakage point was identified and isolated. The company assured the public that safety protocols were being strictly followed.
