The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has officially commenced the online application process for the recruitment of Drivers. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 4,599 vacancies across various depots and divisions in the state. GSRTC Driver Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Overview
According to the official notification, GSRTC will recruit 4,599 candidates for the Driver post. Candidates selected through the recruitment process may be posted at any depot or division of the corporation based on operational requirements. The corporation reserves the right to assign postings as per administrative needs.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess the educational qualifications prescribed in the notification along with basic computer knowledge. Additionally, candidates must hold a valid Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) or Heavy Passenger Vehicle (HPV) driving licence and fulfil the required driving experience conditions mentioned by GSRTC. The experience claimed in the application form will be considered only from the date of issue of the eligible driving licence. At the time of document verification and driving test, candidates will have to produce all original certificates and a valid driving licence.
Selection Process
The selection process will include an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR)-based written examination followed by a driving test. The written examination will carry 100 marks and consist of objective-type questions. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the driving test. The driving test will carry 50 marks, and candidates will have to secure at least 35 marks to qualify. Those scoring below the minimum qualifying marks will be considered unsuccessful.

- Reserved categories (EWS, SC, ST, SEBC, women, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities): Rs 200 plus applicable GST
