Coimbatore: The district police have extended their integrated WhatsApp chatbot service, 'Kovai Digi Cop', to cover all police stations in Coimbatore city as well. A senior police officer stated that the service has now been integrated with the city police. Initially available only within district limits, it was inaccessible to those facing issues within city limits. With the support of the city police, the 24x7 service now extends to city limits, enabling people across Coimbatore, including both city and district areas, to utilize the facilities.

Service Launch and Access

The service was formally launched on March 11. Citizens can access it by sending a 'Hi' message to 98400 91100. The automated chatbot offers real-time assistance for a wide range of police-related services.

  • Anonymous Reporting: A secure option for sharing information about narcotics, traffic congestion, or other urgent matters without revealing identity.

Officials confirmed that the chatbot is integrated with official police databases and is continuously monitored by technical experts. Measures have been implemented to ensure data security and protect user privacy.
