Mock Round Seat Allotment for Engineering Courses Complete

The admission committee has completed the mock round seat allotment for degree engineering courses in Ahmedabad. Out of 45,480 students included on the merit list, 39,645 participated in this trial round. Of these, 32,026 students have been allotted seats in various engineering colleges across the state.

Purpose of the Mock Round

Officials clarified that the mock round helps candidates understand the choice-filling process. Students can log in to their accounts to check which college has been allotted to them. Since this is only a trial round, students will have the opportunity to revise or retain their choices for the first official round.

Important Dates

The choice-filling process for the first round will remain open until June 22, while the final allotment for the first round will be declared on June 25. Students are advised to carefully review and modify their preferences if required before the deadline.

Rise in Registrations

This year has witnessed a significant rise in registrations for degree engineering courses. A total of 47,256 students registered for admissions, the highest in the past 10 years. In 2016, 47,049 students had registered for these courses. Out of the total registered candidates, 45,480 students were included in the merit list.

Seat Distribution

The admission committee offered 61,233 seats across government, grant-in-aid, and self-financed colleges. In the mock round, all seats in government (9,828) and grant-in-aid colleges (1,658) were filled, while 20,540 seats were allotted in self-financed institutions.

No Document Submission Required Yet

Importantly, the committee has stated that students are not required to submit original documents or pay the full semester fee until the online admission process is completed.
