The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has officially postponed the Telangana Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG PGECET) 2026, which was originally scheduled for May 28, 2026. The decision to reschedule the examination was made in light of the Bakrid holiday, as confirmed by the council in a recent announcement.
Revised Examination Date
According to the updated schedule released by TGCHE, the TG PGECET 2026 examination that was earlier planned for May 28 will now be conducted on June 1, 2026. The authorities have clarified that only the date of the examination has been changed, and there will be no alterations to the shift timings or the overall examination schedule for the remaining days. Candidates who were scheduled to appear for the test on May 28 are advised to take note of the revised date and prepare accordingly.
Shift Timings Remain Unchanged
The council has confirmed that the examination will continue to be held in two separate shifts, as per the original timetable. The morning shift will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the afternoon shift will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Students have been informed that these timings remain unchanged despite the postponement of the examination date.

Candidates appearing for TG PGECET 2026 are strongly advised to regularly check official announcements from TGCHE for any further updates.
