A 22-year-old woman caused a disturbance at MMG Hospital in Ghaziabad on Wednesday after allegedly brandishing a knife when asked to wait for a blood pressure check. The incident, captured on a 49-second video, shows the woman pushing chairs and tossing files from a table, visibly terrorizing doctors and staff. Security personnel managed to snatch the knife from her and bring the situation under control.
Incident Details
The woman arrived at the hospital at noon and demanded an immediate blood pressure check. Due to a rush in the emergency ward, she was asked to wait for five minutes. She then insisted that a female physician attend to her immediately and began arguing with staff, threatening them with a knife.
Police Response
The hospital administration provided the footage to the police. Kotwali SHO Sachin Kumar dispatched a team that took the woman into custody for questioning. Police contacted her family, who revealed she is mentally disturbed and undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Delhi. After reviewing her medical records, she was handed over to her family.
