Woman Entrepreneur Showcases Handmade Natural Soaps at PAU

Ramanpreet Kaur, the founder of Green Sparrows, recently visited the School of Business Studies at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and the NIDHI-TBI to present her newly developed range of handmade natural soaps. This initiative highlights the growing trend of sustainable entrepreneurship in the region.

Training and Entrepreneurial Journey

Kaur completed her soap-making training under the NIDHI-TBI Training Programme in February 2026. She stated that the program was instrumental in shaping her entrepreneurial journey. It not only provided technical skills in soap manufacturing but also instilled the confidence to transform her idea into a viable business. The hands-on learning and mentorship during the training inspired her to pursue soap making as a sustainable enterprise.

Recognition and Encouragement

Dr. Ramandeep Singh, Director of SBS and Principal Investigator of NIDHI-TBI, congratulated Kaur on her progress and praised her commitment to developing eco-friendly products. He emphasized that training programs aim to encourage aspiring entrepreneurs, foster innovation, and help convert ideas into enterprises that support economic growth and job creation. He also commended her work on developing packaging materials from waste resources, noting that such practices help reduce environmental pollution, promote circular economy principles, and encourage responsible consumption. He added that environmentally conscious innovations are increasingly necessary and hold strong potential for positive social and ecological impact.
