Dhanbad: India has achieved a significant milestone with the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Abha) enrolments surpassing 90 crore across the nation. The system is being steered by Sunil Kumar Barnwal, an alumnus of IIT(ISM), Dhanbad, who serves as the chief executive officer of the National Health Authority (NHA). This expansion is being hailed as a crucial step toward building one of the world’s largest and most interoperable digital health ecosystems.

What is Abha?

Abha provides every citizen with a unique digital health ID, enabling secure storage and seamless sharing of personal health records across various healthcare providers and platforms. This initiative is expected to revolutionize healthcare delivery in India by making health data easily accessible and transferable.
