Allu Arjun and renowned director Atlee, known for his work on 'Jawan', are collaborating on an upcoming large-scale sci-fi thriller titled 'Raaka'. Currently in the production phase, the latest reports indicate that the team is preparing for a major and extensive shooting schedule in the coming days.
Makers Gearing for Long Shoot
According to a social media post by Telugu Chitraalu, the makers will be filming a significant sequence in mid-June. It is reported that the film's lead actors, including Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone, will be joined by actors Jim Sarbh and Femina George, along with other cast members, for this schedule. The post further suggests that the team aims to complete most of the film's complex sequences by the end of this part. Other portions include most of the scenes and dialogues between the actors.
The makers have planned to first work on the heavy CGI portions, which they have been developing over the past year. This approach was taken to streamline the overall shooting process.
Rumoured Cast of 'Raaka'
Regarding the film's cast, it is also rumored to include Mrunal Thakur, Janhvi Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna. However, this has yet to be confirmed by the makers. In other news about the film, according to Moneycontrol, the team has reportedly approached the Delhi High Court for copyright protection. If granted, others may not be allowed to use Allu Arjun's mannerisms, dialogue style, and signature moves from 'Raaka' for commercial purposes.
About 'Raaka'
Speaking about 'Raaka', on Allu Arjun's birthday, the makers shared the first look of the actor from the film. In the poster, he is seen with kohl-lined eyes, a receding hairline, and a thick grey beard. He covers part of his face with a clawed hand and stares straight ahead. The makers are yet to announce the film's release date, but it is expected to be released next year.
