Patna is set to host Bihar's first large-scale organised Artificial Intelligence (AI) summit, the Bihar AI Summit 2026, scheduled for May 23 and 24 at Urja Auditorium. The event aims to explore the application of AI in enhancing public service delivery, driving industrial and revenue growth, and equipping young people with skills for an emerging AI-driven economy.
Organised by QLASS EdTech in collaboration with the state's information technology department and the Bihar Industries Association (BIA), the summit is expected to attract over 4,000 physical delegates and reach an estimated 100 million people through digital, print, and broadcast platforms.
Speaking at a press conference at Technology Bhawan on Thursday, Nikhil Kumar, founder of QLASS EdTech, emphasised that the summit is designed to be action-oriented rather than a series of academic discussions. He stated that the platform will bring together policymakers and government officials to share implementation frameworks, while experts present practical solutions tailored to Bihar's socio-economic needs.
Industry representatives highlighted that the summit will underscore the cross-sector use of AI and its role in long-term economic empowerment. Amarnath Jaiswal, secretary of the Bihar Industries Association, noted that it will showcase how AI can support skill development and create opportunities for young people across the state. A speaker remarked that Bihar has historically remained engaged with technology-driven change and said the summit would help unlock youth potential. He also mentioned that work on an industrial smart city in Gaya is progressing rapidly, which is expected to generate employment for thousands of young people.
