A blaze erupted in a battery room on the third floor of an office building in South Delhi's Greater Kailash-I area early Friday morning, prompting the deployment of 11 fire tenders, according to officials. The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received a call regarding the fire at approximately 2:47 am from the Tata Communications office located opposite Savitri Cinema, as stated in an official release.

Fire Details and Response

The fire was contained within the battery room, which spans nearly 200 square feet on the third floor of the multi-storey building, officials confirmed. During the firefighting operation, two firefighters sustained burn injuries to their hands and were subsequently shifted to Safdarjung Hospital for medical treatment.

Control and Cooling Operations

The blaze was brought under control by around 7 am, after which cooling operations were carried out to prevent any possibility of reignition. Officials noted that the building comprises a ground floor and five upper floors. No civilian injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
