GVK Group Enters Fertility Care with AI-Powered Oval Fertility in Hyderabad
GVK Group Launches AI-Powered Fertility Venture Oval Fertility

Hyderabad: In an expansion of its presence in the healthcare space, GVK Group has forayed into the fertility care segment with Oval Fertility, a venture co-founded by GVK scion Keshav Reddy’s wife Veena Reddy and US-based IVF specialist Dr Brian Levine. The venture, backed by the GVK family office, has kicked off with its flagship clinic spread over 17,000 sq ft in Hyderabad, with plans to add smaller clinics in a hub and spoke model across the city, co-founder Veena Reddy said on Monday.

Expansion Plans and Vision

The plan is to eventually take the venture to other major urban centres across the country after piloting the concept in Hyderabad, Reddy said. The AI-powered venture, which also brings Japan’s Astec Chronos embryo incubation system to India, is aimed at addressing the growing demand for fertility care driven by delayed parenthood, lifestyle changes, stress-related conditions and rising awareness of reproductive health, she explained.

Astec Chronos Embryo Incubation System

Astec Chronos is designed to closely mimic natural embryo development conditions while enabling continuous monitoring without removing embryos from the incubator, allowing embryologists to track development and support more informed clinical decisions.

Facility and Team

The Hyderabad facility is equipped with six embryology workstations, seven suites and five recovery rooms, and is built to support 100-150 fertility cycles per month. Oval’s on-site team includes three fertility specialists, three embryologists and specialised clinical teams supporting diagnostics, reproductive medicine and care coordination.

Bridging Transparency Gaps

The company also said it aims to bridge transparency gaps in fertility treatment by combining advanced laboratory systems with patient-centred care pathways. In a statement, Dr Brian Levine, founding medical advisor, Oval Fertility said, "The future of fertility care will be shaped by how effectively we combine science, technology and personalised patient experience." He said Oval has been designed to bring global clinical expertise, advanced reproductive technologies and precision-driven decision making together.
