All Announcements at PlayStation State of Play June 2026
Here is a comprehensive list of every announcement made during the PlayStation State of Play:
Marvel's Wolverine
The main highlight of the State of Play was arguably Marvel's Wolverine. The showcase provided a new glimpse into Insomniac Games' upcoming solo adventure. In the new gameplay trailer, viewers were treated to Logan's ferocious combat style, which is notably faster and more violent than the Spider-Man games. The trailer also featured a character reveal for Jean Grey, who teams up with Wolverine to take down the Reavers. Pre-orders for the title have gone live, with the game launching on September 15.
God of War Laufey
The biggest surprise of the showcase was God of War Laufey. Santa Monica Studio revealed the game near the end, sending the gaming community into a frenzy. This title is set to be the next mainline entry in the franchise and follows Faye, Kratos' late wife. Players will essentially take control of her as she fights through the afterlife of the gods to save the ones she loves. This new direction for the series was easily the most talked-about announcement of the night.
Until Dawn 2
Firesprite Games announced a sequel to the beloved PS4 horror classic. Until Dawn 2 features a crew of ghost hunters arriving at an abandoned tropical island for the debut episode of their TV show. The butterfly effect system is set to make a return, and Dr. Hill, played by Peter Stormare, will also appear in the game.
Control Resonant
During the State of Play, Remedy Entertainment confirmed that Control Resonant launches on September 24. The game is set in a paranatural Manhattan warped beyond recognition. Players will take control of Dylan, navigating impossible architecture and battling monstrous entities. A story trailer also teased the return of Jesse Faden.
Rayman Legends Retold
Ubisoft surprisingly announced Rayman Legends Retold, a full 3D reimagining of the classic platformer launching on October 1. The remake brings back fully voiced characters, an expanded soundtrack, new levels, and a mysterious new realm. It will also feature four-player co-op.
