Trichy: The Departments of Anatomy and ENT at Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre organized a three-day international endoscopic base-of-skull surgery course (EBOSS 2026) from May 29 to 31. The program was inaugurated by SRM Institutions Chairman Dr. Shivakumar, with Padma Shri awardee Dr. Mohan Kameshwaran attending as chief guest. Dean Dr. Gopakumaran N Kartha welcomed the participants.
Course Highlights and Leadership
Led by skull-base surgery expert Dr. Janakiraman, Director of Royal Pearl Hospital, the course featured live demonstrations and guided cadaveric dissections. The aim was to enhance collaboration between ENT surgeons and neurosurgeons in managing complex skull-base disorders.
International and National Participation
The workshop drew participants from across India and abroad. Eleven international delegates from Syria, Uzbekistan, and Eswatini attended, along with specialists from several Indian states. The institution stated that the program reflected its commitment to advanced, skill-based medical education and surgical training.
