UP Ayush Colleges Get Digital Cadaver Labs for Anatomy

Lucknow: Ayush students in select Uttar Pradesh colleges will gain access to cutting-edge digital anatomy tables, also known as digital cadaver labs, offering a modern approach to studying human anatomy. The pilot project will be launched at Government Ayurveda College and Government Homeopathy Medical College in Lucknow.

Pilot Project Launch

Chaitra V, Director General of Uttar Pradesh and Mission Director of the National Ayush Mission, UP, described the initiative as a forward-looking move to enhance learning opportunities for Ayush students. She noted that this would place UP Ayush colleges among a select group of institutions using this technology, including the All India Institute of Ayurveda in New Delhi, the National Institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur, and SDM Ayurveda College in Karnataka.

Features of Digital Anatomy Tables

These digital, life-sized anatomy systems allow students to explore the human body through high-resolution virtual models instead of relying solely on real cadavers. The systems offer interactive features such as rotation, zoom, and layer-by-layer dissection, along with integration of CT scans, MRI scans, and clinical data to enhance medical learning. A key feature is virtual dissection, which enables students to study various organs through digital models without depending on real cadavers.
