Workshop on Energy Efficiency for MSMEs in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: A technical workshop titled “Accelerating Energy Efficiency in MSMEs” brought together over 60 industry leaders, energy experts, and government officials to promote sustainable manufacturing in the textile sector. The event was jointly organized by the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), the District Industries Centre (DIC), and a German development agency.

The workshop highlighted the state’s ADEETIE and RAMP programs, which aim to enhance energy efficiency in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Prominent attendees included Textile MSME Association President Vinod Thapar and DIC General Manager S.S. Rekhi.

Discussions focused on helping MSMEs reduce power consumption through modern technology upgrades and resource optimization. Experts explained how these government schemes provide technical support, detailed energy audits, and financial incentives to help local factories adopt energy-efficient systems.
