Prayagraj: North Central Railway (NCR) has implemented special arrangements for candidates appearing in the lekhpal recruitment examination scheduled for May 21, 2026. Anticipating a significant influx of candidates traveling for the exam, railway authorities have decided to operate special exam trains if necessary to ensure smooth and safe movement of passengers.
Additional Train Rakes and Operational Plans
Officials confirmed that additional train rakes have been kept ready at Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central Railway Station, and Aligarh Junction Railway Station. This preparation enables the immediate introduction of special trains in case of heavy crowd pressure. The railway administration has also devised a special operational plan at major stations during the examination period.
Enhanced Staff Deployment and Security Measures
According to railway officials, extra staff have been deployed at key stations including Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central, Aligarh Junction, Tundla, and other important locations. These personnel will handle crowd management, ticket checking, security, and passenger assistance. Continuous monitoring through CCTV cameras will cover station premises and passenger movement to prevent inconvenience and maintain safety.
The railways have also bolstered ticketing and enquiry facilities at stations. Additional personnel have been assigned to ticket counters, and enquiry counters along with help desks will remain operational throughout the examination period. Officials stated that the public announcement system will stay active to guide candidates regarding train schedules and platform information.
To ensure security and smooth boarding, additional personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have been deployed. Railway employees stationed on platforms have been instructed to assist candidates with directions and travel-related information.
Appeal to Candidates
The railway administration has appealed to all candidates to reach stations well in advance, travel only with valid tickets, and follow instructions issued by railway authorities. These measures aim to facilitate a hassle-free journey for examinees.
