2026 Toyota Innova Crysta Update: New Features, Same Engine

The Toyota Innova Crysta has received an update for 2026. While the mechanical package remains untouched, Toyota has refreshed the exterior and added new features to the cabin. Here is a detailed look at what has changed in the updated Innova Crysta compared to the older model.

Toyota Innova Crysta New vs Old: What Has Changed

The first noticeable changes are on the outside. Toyota has revised the front fascia of the Innova Crysta with a new grille design featuring three vertical slats finished in chrome. The bumper has been slightly redesigned with cleaner silver garnish elements around the fog lamp area, and the lower black cladding looks more pronounced now. At the rear, Toyota has tweaked the bumper garnish as well, although the overall silhouette and shape remain identical to the outgoing model.

Interior Updates

Inside the cabin, the changes are more noticeable. The updated Innova Crysta now gets new dual-tone leather seat upholstery, replacing the simpler upholstery finish seen on the earlier model. Toyota has also revised the dashboard and interior trim inserts with Grace Copper accents and wood-pattern detailing. Additionally, Toyota has added a few convenience and safety features that were missing earlier. The biggest additions include a wireless phone charger and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). These features are now increasingly expected in this segment, especially considering rivals and even lower-priced cars have started offering them. Apart from these additions, the Innova Crysta continues to offer features such as touchscreen infotainment with smartphone connectivity, steering-mounted controls, automatic climate control, and rear AC vents.

Engine and Performance

Mechanically, nothing has changed. The updated Innova Crysta continues to be powered by the same 2.4-litre diesel engine paired with a manual gearbox. This powertrain makes 150 hp and 343 Nm of peak torque.

Variants and Pricing

Toyota has also retained the same variant structure. The updated Innova Crysta is available in GX, GX+, VX, and ZX trims, with both 7-seat and 8-seat configurations depending on the variant. Prices now start at Rs 19.72 lakh and go up to Rs 26.63 lakh, ex-showroom. However, the pricing has increased for each trim.
