Ducati has officially introduced its latest power cruiser, the XDiavel V4, to the Indian motorcycle market. This model arrives as a more relaxed, cruiser-oriented sibling to the aggressive Diavel V4, offering a blend of Italian performance and long-distance comfort. The company has opened bookings for the bike immediately, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence from January 2026.
Price and Variants: Two Colour Options
The new Ducati XDiavel V4 is offered in two distinct colour schemes, each with its own price point. The Burning Red variant is priced at ₹30.88 lakh, while the Black Lava option costs ₹31.19 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. Interested buyers can reserve their motorcycle either through Ducati's online portal or by visiting an authorized dealership.
Engine and Performance: MotoGP-Derived Power
At the heart of the XDiavel V4 lies Ducati's formidable 1158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, technology inspired by the brand's MotoGP program. This powerplant generates an impressive 168 horsepower and 126 Nm of torque. Engineers have incorporated a reverse-rotating crankshaft and an active cylinder deactivation system to improve refinement and fuel economy.
The engine management system offers riders three selectable power maps and four dedicated riding modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet. This setup is designed to deliver strong low-end torque, making the bike manageable in city traffic. In a significant move for maintenance, Ducati has switched to traditional spring-operated valves, dramatically extending the valve inspection interval to 60,000 kilometres from the earlier, more frequent checks.
Chassis, Features, and Technology
The motorcycle is built around a premium chassis featuring fully adjustable suspension, a signature single-sided swingarm, and high-performance Brembo Stylema brake calipers gripping large 330mm front discs. Despite being fitted with a massive 240-section rear tyre, Ducati claims improved handling due to a 6 kg reduction in wet weight compared to the previous XDiavel 1260 model.
The electronics suite is comprehensive, offering:
- Cornering ABS
- Traction and wheelie control
- Bi-directional quick shifter
- Cruise control
For instrumentation, the bike features a 6.9-inch full-colour TFT display. The lighting uses an all-LED setup with a distinctive double C-shaped daytime running light signature. The system also includes a 'Welcome' animation, integrated dynamic turn indicators, and a coming-home light function.
The launch of the XDiavel V4 strengthens Ducati's portfolio in the Indian luxury motorcycle segment, providing an alternative for riders seeking high-performance cruising with cutting-edge Italian engineering and technology.
