The Hyundai Venue, including its sportier Venue N Line variant, has recently undergone rigorous crash testing under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP), with the results now publicly available. The compact SUV has delivered an exceptionally strong performance in both adult and child occupant protection categories, positioning it as one of the safer options within its competitive segment.
Impressive Scores in Adult and Child Occupant Protection
In the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category, the Hyundai Venue achieved an outstanding score of 31.15 out of a maximum possible 32 points. For Child Occupant Protection (COP), the vehicle scored 44.46 out of 49 points. These commendable scores are applicable across all variants of the model currently sold in the Indian market, highlighting consistent safety standards.
Detailed Analysis of Crash Test Performance
Examining the detailed test results reveals that the SUV performed admirably in the frontal offset deformable barrier test. It provided good protection to the head and neck of both the driver and the front passenger. Protection for the lower body was also rated as good, while shin protection received an adequate rating. The driver's chest protection was marked as adequate, whereas the passenger's chest protection was rated as good, indicating a well-engineered safety structure.
In side impact scenarios, which include the movable deformable barrier and pole impact tests, the Venue offered good protection to all occupants, further solidifying its safety credentials.
