The Legion Pro Rollable Concept: A Screen That Grows
The star of the show is the Legion Pro Rollable Concept, a high-end gaming laptop built around a revolutionary display that physically expands. This concept device is designed to rethink portable esports training by eliminating a key compromise for professional gamers: the need to practice on competition-sized screens while constantly travelling.
The laptop starts as a standard 16-inch device but can expand horizontally. It first extends to 21.5 inches and can ultimately unfurl to a full 24-inch display. This gives elite esports athletes the ability to train on larger, arena-like screens without sacrificing mobility.
Innovative Display and Training Modes
The core of this innovation is a Lenovo PureSight OLED Gaming panel. It unfurls from both sides using a sophisticated dual-motor, tension-based mechanism. Lenovo states this system maintains constant tension, allowing for smooth expansion and contraction with minimal vibration and noise. Special low-friction materials are used throughout the rolling cycle to protect the delicate OLED surface from wear and tear.
Lenovo has built specific, training-focused modes around this expanding capability:

- Tactical Mode: Extending to 21.5 inches provides extra space to enhance a player's peripheral awareness.

Under the hood, the concept is no less impressive. Its internal architecture is based on the Legion Pro 7i platform. It combines the sheer graphical power of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU with premium Intel Core Ultra processors.
The RTX 50 series, based on NVIDIA's new Blackwell architecture, promises significant improvements in AI performance, next-generation graphics fidelity, and support for technologies like DLSS 4. To harness this power, Lenovo has integrated its own AI Engine+, powered by the LA Core system. This AI dynamically detects gameplay scenarios to boost frame rates and optimise system resources in real-time, ensuring stable performance during the most demanding competitive moments.
