JSW MG Motor India has announced a substantial price revision for the MG M9 luxury electric MPV, effective as part of its April 2026 update. The vehicle's ex-showroom price has been raised to Rs 75.90 lakh, marking a notable increase from its previous price of Rs 69.90 lakh. This adjustment reflects the brand's ongoing pricing strategy in the competitive premium automotive segment.
Positioning and Key Rivals in the Premium MPV Space
The MG M9 continues to compete directly with established models like the Kia Carnival and the Toyota Vellfire. The Carnival, priced at Rs 59.42 lakh ex-showroom, features a diesel engine, while the Vellfire commands a higher price of approximately Rs 1.19 crore with its strong hybrid system. In contrast, the M9 distinguishes itself with a fully electric powertrain, appealing to eco-conscious buyers in the luxury market.
Design and Exterior Features of the MG M9
Measuring over 5.2 metres in length, the M9 boasts a classic boxy MPV silhouette that emphasizes space and functionality. It is offered in three sophisticated color options:
