JSW MG Motor has officially confirmed the launch date for its upcoming premium SUV. The company will unveil the MG Majestor on February 12, 2026. This announcement follows the vehicle's initial public debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year.
A Premium Evolution of the Gloster
The MG Majestor represents a heavily refreshed and more premium iteration of the existing Gloster model. It is positioned as a superior offering above the Gloster in the lineup. Currently, there is no clear information on whether both the Gloster and the Majestor will be sold simultaneously in the Indian market.
Striking Exterior Design
The three-row, ladder-frame SUV undergoes a comprehensive overhaul from the outside. Its design features a large and imposing front grille that commands attention. Sleek headlights are mounted on the bumper, accompanied by modern LED daytime running lights.
The side profile emphasizes a premium stance with stylish 19-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, new connected LED tail-lights and a more sophisticated bumper design give the SUV a distinctly refreshed and contemporary appearance.
Lavish Interior and Advanced Features
While specific interior details remain under wraps, expectations are high for a luxurious cabin. The MG Majestor is anticipated to feature dual-tone upholstery for an upscale feel. A fully digital instrument cluster and a larger free-standing infotainment system will likely dominate the dashboard.
Convenience and comfort features should include a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, and automatic three-zone climate control. The front seats are expected to be powered, ventilated, and heated. Lighting will be modern with LED headlights, fog lamps, and taillights. A Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite is also anticipated, enhancing safety and driving ease.

Under the hood, the MG Majestor is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Performance figures are projected to vary between drivetrain options. The 4x2 variant is likely to produce 163 horsepower and 375 Newton-meters of torque.
The more capable 4x4 version is expected to offer higher outputs of 218 horsepower and 480 Newton-meters of torque. The SUV will feature differential locks for improved traction. Dedicated switches will allow drivers to toggle between 2WD, 4WD, and a low-range 4WD mode, enhancing its off-road versatility.
Rigorous Off-Road Testing Showcased
The MG Majestor has recently been spotted undergoing extensive off-road testing across various challenging terrains. Test vehicles were seen climbing over large rocks, clearly demonstrating impressive suspension articulation and underbody capability.
In one notable image, the SUV is perched on a rock, offering a clear view of its substantial wheel travel and ground clearance. The test mule also features prominent 'India's first D-Plus SUV' branding on its side. This branding hints at the vehicle's strategic positioning and intended segment placement within the competitive Indian automotive market.
