Trichy: Residents of Trichy found some respite from the scorching heat on Wednesday as scattered rainfall was reported across several parts of the city. The showers, accompanied by cool breezes, provided a welcome break from the prevailing hot and humid conditions.
Areas Receiving Rainfall
Localities such as Cantonment, Woraiyur, and Thillai Nagar experienced light to moderate showers. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature was expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius.
Previous Rainfall and Power Disruptions
The last spell of rain in Trichy was recorded late on May 4. The recent showers also led to brief power disruptions in some localities. In addition, moderate rainfall was reported in Pudukkottai and Arimalam.
