Tata Motors Expands Harrier EV Lineup with New Affordable All-Wheel-Drive Variant
Tata Motors has significantly broadened the appeal of its popular Tata Harrier EV by introducing a more accessible all-wheel-drive option. The newly launched Fearless+ QWD 75 variant is priced at an attractive Rs 26.49 lakh, ex-showroom, effectively making the dual-motor setup available at a lower entry point than ever before.
Breaking Down the Price Barrier for All-Wheel-Drive
Previously, the Quad Wheel Drive system was exclusively available on the top-tier Empowered trim. With the debut of the Fearless+ QWD 75, buyers can now opt for the all-wheel-drive configuration in a more budget-friendly variant. This strategic move reduces the entry price for this advanced setup by a substantial Rs 2.50 lakh, opening up the technology to a wider audience of electric SUV enthusiasts.
Impressive Performance and Range Specifications
The new variant is powered by a robust 75kWh battery pack and utilizes a dual-motor setup that delivers an impressive 313 horsepower and 504 Nm of torque. This powertrain enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in a brisk 6.3 seconds. Tata Motors also claims an exceptional driving range of up to 622 kilometers on a single charge, positioning the Harrier EV as a competitive option in the long-range electric vehicle segment.
Feature-Rich Interior and Exterior Updates
In terms of features, the Fearless+ QWD 75 comes well-equipped with a host of premium amenities:
- A six-way powered driver seat with memory function and a four-way powered co-driver seat
- Ventilated front seats for enhanced comfort
- A voice-assisted dual-zone climate control system
- Ambient lighting and rear seat comfort additions such as headrests and sunshades
The SUV is further loaded with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-speaker JBL audio setup, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and a panoramic sunroof. It rides on stylish 19-inch alloy wheels, adding to its aesthetic appeal.
Expanded Color Options and Trim Availability
Alongside the new variant, Tata Motors has introduced a fresh Seaweed Green exterior colour, which will now be available across all variants of the Harrier EV. With this update, the Harrier EV is now offered in multiple trims, including:
- Adventure
- Adventure S
- Fearless+
- Empowered
Both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations are available, providing customers with greater flexibility. Prices for the entire range now start at Rs 21.49 lakh and go up to Rs 28.99 lakh, all prices ex-showroom.
This expansion underscores Tata Motors' commitment to making advanced electric vehicle technology more accessible while maintaining high standards of performance and luxury in the competitive SUV market.
