Volkswagen India has officially launched the highly anticipated facelift of its popular Taigun SUV in the Indian market. The new model features a refreshed design inspired by Volkswagen's global lineup, along with significant updates to the cabin, including additional features and advanced safety equipment. Pre-bookings for the SUV are now open, allowing customers to reserve their vehicle either online or at authorized dealerships by making a payment ranging from Rs 11,000 to Rs 50,000.

The facelifted Taigun introduces a new 8-speed automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre TSI engine, which Volkswagen claims improves fuel efficiency by up to 5.8 percent compared to the previous 6-speed torque converter. This engine produces 115 horsepower. The SUV also retains the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering 150 horsepower, which continues to be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. On the other hand, the Volkswagen Taigun facelift's Comfortline variant, whose prices are yet to be announced, includes features like auto-levelling LED headlamps with LED DRLs, sequential turn indicators in the rear LED tail-lamps, 16-inch steel wheels with covers, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired smartphone connectivity, six speakers, automatic climate control, and six airbags. Safety features encompass ESC, ABS, EBD, TPMS, and reverse parking sensors.
