Zonair3D Launches Premium Air Purifiers in India: ZonAIR+ 300 S Reviewed
Zonair3D's High-End Air Purifier Debuts in India

Swiss air purification specialist Zonair3D has officially entered the Indian market, introducing its range of high-end air purifiers designed for homes, offices, hospitals, and other indoor spaces. The launch includes models such as the ZonAIR+ 300 S and the ZonAIR+ 430 S, which aim to tackle severe indoor pollution through advanced filtration technology.

First Look: Build, Design, and Operation

We tested the ZonAIR+ 300 S model, which carries a premium price tag of Rs 2,25,000 plus 18% GST. This positions it squarely in the luxury segment of air purification systems, targeting consumers in highly polluted regions or those with critical health-related air quality needs.

The purifier features a functional, professional design suited for spacious rooms, clinics, or corporate environments. While marketed as portable, it is notably larger and heavier than typical consumer-grade units. Operation is managed via a small touch screen on top for power and fan speed control. However, during our testing, the touch response was inconsistent, often requiring a firm press to register commands.

The core technology combines mechanical filtration with ozone-based cleaning, targeting not just particulate matter but also gaseous compounds and microbial contaminants. The company claims the filters are medical-grade and certified for removing fine pollutants. The device alerts users when filter replacement is needed, with a typical cycle of 2–3 years depending on usage. It is rated for a coverage area of 700 square feet.

Performance in Real-World Use

The ZonAIR+ 300 S employs a three-stage filtration system: a Pre-filter G4, a Gas filter GRSYSTEM, and an Absolute filter ULPA U15. This setup is engineered to handle a wide spectrum of pollutants including dust, allergens, PM2.5, VOCs, and other harmful gases, offering purification beyond standard HEPA filters found in more affordable units.

In daily operation, the purifier is straightforward to use—just plug in and switch on. It draws air from the bottom and expels cleaned air from the top. Users can adjust the fan speed across 10 levels. At lower speeds, it operates consistently and manageably. However, at its maximum setting, the unit generates significant noise, which could be disruptive in living rooms or bedrooms.

Notably, the purifier lacks some common convenience features like a timer or a dedicated sleep mode, which are often found in household models. These omissions are surprising given its premium positioning and price point.

Verdict: Who Is It For?

The ZonAIR+ 300 S effectively cleans indoor air, showing a noticeable reduction in dust and suspended particles during our review. Its multi-stage filtration performs robustly against both large and fine contaminants.

However, its value proposition is niche. With its high cost, substantial noise at top speed, and lack of user-friendly features like quiet modes, it is best suited for professional settings or large homes in severely polluted areas where air-quality needs are paramount. For average household requirements, more affordable and quieter purifiers with better controls might offer greater everyday value.

The launch marks Zonair3D's ambitious bet on India's growing demand for high-end air purification solutions, catering to a segment where performance outweighs cost considerations.
