How Standard Kavach Works
The Standard Kavach system is a set of electronic devices and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags installed on locomotives, tracks, and signaling equipment. It continuously monitors train movements and automatically applies brakes if the driver fails to respond to warnings, thereby preventing collisions. The system also provides real-time data to control centers.
Impact on Railway Safety
This deployment is part of the Indian Railways' broader initiative to implement the Kavach system across high-density and high-risk routes.
