Citroen eC3X Launched at Rs 10.25 Lakh, 325km Range

Citroen India has officially launched the new Citroen e-C3X electric vehicle in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom). This price is Rs 1.74 lakh lower than its predecessor. The company is also offering the 2026 eC3X with an optional Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan, which reduces the vehicle's purchase price to Rs 6.29 lakh, while battery usage is charged at Rs 2.26 per km. Customers can book the EV online or by visiting their nearest dealership, with deliveries expected to begin soon.

Design and Features

The Citroen eC3X receives revisions to its exterior and interior, along with additional convenience features. It now offers more range. The electric hatchback is available in three variants: Live, Live (O), and Shine. It competes with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet in the Indian market.

Battery and Performance

The 2026 eC3X continues to use a 29.2kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed MIDC-certified driving range of 325km, an improvement of 79km over the previous version. The electric motor produces 57hp and 143Nm of torque, driving the front wheels. The EV accelerates from 0-60kph in 6.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 107kph. It supports both AC and DC charging: a full charge from 10% to 100% takes 10 hours and 30 minutes using an AC charger, while a DC fast charger can charge from 10% to 80% in 57 minutes.

Interior Enhancements

The cabin features a dual-tone blue-and-beige colour scheme and leatherette seat upholstery, while the dashboard layout remains unchanged. New additions include a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charger, dashcam, and a six-speaker JBL audio system. The dashcam and JBL setup are available as accessories.

Safety Features

Safety features include six airbags on the top variant and four airbags on lower trims. Existing equipment, such as the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual air-conditioning, rear wiper, and reverse parking camera with sensors, has been carried forward.
