Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has officially announced the Indian arrival of its much-anticipated X300 series, setting the stage for a December showdown in the premium smartphone segment. The company confirmed that both the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro will make their debut in the Indian market on December 2, merely weeks after their initial launch in China and global rollout.
Leaked Pricing Reveals Aggressive Strategy
Recent leaks from prominent tipster Sanju Choudhary have shed light on Vivo's pricing strategy for the standard X300 model in India. According to the leaked information, the device will be available in multiple configurations with competitive pricing that positions it directly against the recently launched OnePlus 15.
The 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant is expected to carry a maximum retail price of Rs. 74,999, while the higher-end 16GB RAM with 512GB storage model might be priced at Rs. 80,999. The leak also indicated that the box price for the 16GB/512GB configuration shows Rs. 89,999 MRP, though actual selling prices could be lower when sales commence.
Professional Photography Accessory
In addition to smartphone pricing, Choudhary also revealed details about Vivo's photography-focused accessory. The Telephoto Extender Kit is reportedly priced at Rs. 20,999 and includes Zeiss 2.35x teleconverter lenses designed to significantly enhance the phone's optical zoom capabilities.
The accessory features NFC technology for automatic detection and triggers a dedicated Teleconverter Mode within the camera application, promising professional-grade photography experiences for mobile photographers.
India-Exclusive Color Option
Adding to the excitement for Indian consumers, the tipster hinted at a special color variant exclusive to the Indian market. The new shade, reportedly named Summit Red, will join the global color options of Mist Blue and Phantom Black for the standard X300, while the Pro model comes in Dune Brown and Phantom Black finishes.
Power-Packed Performance Confirmed
Vivo has already disclosed several key specifications that power the upcoming series. Both models will be equipped with MediaTek's cutting-edge 3nm Dimensity 9500 chipset, marking a significant leap in processing power and energy efficiency.
The devices will also feature the VS1 Pro Imaging chip and the V3 Plus Imaging chip, creating a robust photography ecosystem. The smartphones will ship with OriginOS 6 based on the latest Android 16 operating system.
The full specification details and official pricing will be revealed at the launch event scheduled for next month, where Vivo is expected to make a strong statement in the competitive Indian smartphone market.
