Ahmedabad experienced scorching heat on Saturday as the maximum temperature soared to 43.3 degrees Celsius, which was 1.6 degrees higher than the seasonal average. This marked the second consecutive day that the city recorded temperatures exceeding 43 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature also remained elevated at 28 degrees Celsius, 1.8 degrees above normal. Residents found some relief during the morning and evening hours due to light breezes.
Statewide Comparison
Ahmedabad was the second hottest city in Gujarat, with Surendranagar recording the highest temperature at 43.5 degrees Celsius.
IMD Forecast
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature on Sunday is expected to be around 43 degrees Celsius. The forecast indicates no significant change in maximum temperatures over the next 24 hours, followed by a gradual drop of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the subsequent three days. Thereafter, no major change is likely over the region. Maximum temperatures are very likely to remain above 40 degrees Celsius in isolated pockets of Gujarat during the next three days.
