Forest Department Response
District Forest Officer Rajeev Kumar confirmed that the deer will be released back into its natural habitat after full recovery. The forest department is ensuring proper treatment and rehabilitation for the animal.
Locals noted that the deer population in the area was once significant, but sightings have become rare due to limited conservation efforts and increasing threats such as road accidents. This incident highlights the urgent need for better wildlife protection measures along highways.
The forest department has urged drivers to exercise caution on roads passing through wildlife habitats to prevent such accidents.
