Four Bikers Injured in Two Separate Accidents in Kolkata

Kolkata witnessed two separate road accidents between Friday night and Saturday morning, leaving four bikers injured. Fortunately, all the victims were wearing helmets, which prevented fatal injuries.

First Accident on Raja Dinendra Street

The first incident occurred at around 9 pm on Friday on Raja Dinendra Street. Gopal Jaiswal (55) and his wife Jyoti, residents of Nagerbazar, were riding a two-wheeler when they collided with a bike ridden by Subhasish Sen (26). All three were injured in the crash. While Gopal and Jyoti are currently admitted to a private hospital for treatment, Subhasish Sen was discharged after receiving medical care.

Second Accident Near Rabindra Sadan

The second accident took place around 6.30 am on Saturday near Rabindra Sadan. Rajesh Jindal (55), a resident of Golabari in Howrah, was hit by a mini truck while riding his two-wheeler. He sustained injuries and was immediately taken to SSKM Hospital, where he remains admitted for further treatment.

Importance of Helmets

In both incidents, the bikers were wearing helmets, which significantly reduced the severity of their injuries. Police have urged all two-wheeler riders to always wear helmets and follow traffic rules to avoid such accidents.
