The State Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow alert for three districts in Himachal Pradesh as scorching heat is expected on Tuesday. Una, Bilaspur, and Solan are likely to experience extensive heat wave conditions at isolated places throughout the day.
Temperatures across the state are forecast to rise significantly. Minimum temperatures may increase by 2°C to 4°C, while maximum temperatures could climb by 3°C to 5°C. The weather office has also issued orange and yellow warnings for heavy rain on June 11 and 12.
Minimum temperatures recorded across the state include 19°C in Shimla, 19.4°C in Dharamsala, 14.1°C in Manali, 21.2°C in Kangra, 19.7°C in Mandi, 19.8°C in Sundernagar, 13.7°C in Kufri, 10°C in Kalpa, 20.1°C in Nahan, 16.5°C in Bhuntar, 7.8°C in Keylong, and 17.8°C in Chamba.
Kukumseri in Lahaul and Spiti recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 6.2°C, making it the coldest place in Himachal Pradesh.
