The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Ranchi office has forecasted light to moderate rainfall across several parts of Jharkhand from Monday to Saturday, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. A yellow alert has been issued for Monday across 20 districts, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and winds reaching 40-50 kmph at isolated locations. However, Chatra, Hazaribag, Koderma, and Giridih districts are excluded from this alert.

Orange Alert for Select Districts

An orange alert has been issued for Giridih, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Pakur, and Godda districts for Tuesday, anticipating severe thunderstorms and wind warnings, according to IMD Deputy Director Abhishek Anand. The department stated that light to moderate rain with gusty winds of 40-50 kmph, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes is likely at isolated places across the state throughout the week.

Temperature and Sky Conditions

Partly cloudy conditions are expected to prevail, with a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some areas. The maximum temperature is likely to increase by up to 2 degrees Celsius from Monday to Wednesday, with no significant change thereafter for the next three days.

Recent Temperature and Rainfall Data

On Sunday, Daltonganj recorded the state's highest maximum temperature at 41.5 degrees Celsius. Other notable readings included Seraikela at 40.4 degrees Celsius, Jamshedpur at 38.6 degrees Celsius, Bokaro at 38.5 degrees Celsius, Pakur at 38 degrees Celsius, Lohardaga at 37.2 degrees Celsius, Khunti at 36.9 degrees Celsius, Ranchi at 35.9 degrees Celsius, Chaibasa at 34.8 degrees Celsius, and Latehar at 33.2 degrees Celsius.

In the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall was recorded in Manjhari in West Singhbhum district at 18 mm, followed by Maithon in Dhanbad at 7.4 mm, and Bano in Simdega at 6 mm.
