The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow and orange warnings for heavy rainfall across Kerala on Monday. Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts are placed under an orange alert, while the remaining districts are under a yellow warning for Monday.
District-Wise Alerts
On Tuesday, only 11 districts will have a heavy rainfall alert, with no warning issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta. By Wednesday, only five districts from Malappuram to Kasaragod will be under a yellow warning for heavy rain.
Rainfall Intensity Decreasing
The intensity of rainfall recorded in the state has been reducing on Sunday. Kanjirapuzha in Palakkad received only 3 cm of rain, the highest amount recorded in the state until 5:30 pm on Sunday. Kerala received 15 cm of rainfall against the normal of 12 cm in this season over seven days until Sunday morning.
