An explosion involving multiple LPG cylinders caused widespread panic among locals and devotees at Mantralayam in Kurnool district on Wednesday. The incident occurred at a temporary shelter set up for daily wage laborers from Bihar, near Narahari Sadan, close to the revered Mantralayam shrine.

According to local police, three LPG cylinders were involved in a mysterious fire that triggered the blast. Fortunately, no one was present at the time of the incident, resulting in no fatalities. Mantralayam pontiff Subhudendra Teertha Swamy, along with police officials, rushed to the spot to assess the situation.

Preliminary investigations by the Mantralayam police confirmed that the blast was caused by the cylinders catching fire under unclear circumstances. The area has been cordoned off, and a case has been registered. Further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
