A massive fire broke out at Jahaj Ground in Faridkot, Punjab, on Tuesday evening, engulfing several shops and stalls in flames. The fire, which started around 6 PM, quickly spread due to strong winds, causing extensive damage to property.
Firefighters Battle Blaze
Upon receiving information, fire tenders from Faridkot and nearby areas were rushed to the spot. Firefighters worked for hours to bring the blaze under control. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but preliminary reports suggest an electrical short circuit may have triggered it.
No Casualties Reported
Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the area was evacuated in time. However, several shop owners suffered significant losses. The ground, which hosts a weekly market, had numerous temporary structures that were completely gutted.
