The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued a warning for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall across several districts of the state until Monday. According to the weather update from NSDMA, districts including Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, and Mokokchung are likely to experience heavy rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.
Districts Under Warning
In addition to the aforementioned districts, Mon, Longleng, Tuensang, and Zunheboto are also expected to witness thunderstorms with lightning during this period. The warning specifically highlights that thunderstorms with lightning are likely at isolated places in Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, Mokokchung, Longleng, and Mon districts on Monday.
Weather Outlook for Tuesday
The update further states that weather conditions are expected to remain generally stable across Nagaland on Tuesday, providing some respite after the anticipated severe weather.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions, such as staying indoors during thunderstorms, avoiding open spaces, and refraining from using electrical appliances during lightning strikes.
