Patna College Organizes Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on World Blood Donor Day
Anugrah Narayan College in Patna organized a voluntary blood donation camp on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day at the SN Sinha Auditorium. The camp was conducted under the joint aegis of the college’s National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and Prathama Blood Bank. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, non-teaching staff, and NSS volunteers.
The program was inaugurated in the presence of Principal Prof Ratna Amrit. On the occasion, faculty members, employees, and NSS volunteers took a pledge to donate blood regularly and motivate others to contribute to this life-saving cause.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Amrit emphasized the importance of blood donation, calling it a noble act that can save lives. She stated that a single unit of blood can make a crucial difference for patients in need and encouraged healthy individuals to become regular donors.
AI-Powered Device Attracts Participants
A major attraction of the camp was Prathama Blood Bank’s AI-powered “Easy Check” device, which enabled painless hemoglobin testing without drawing blood. The facility, supervised by blood bank representatives Pankaj Baghel and Randhir Kumar, generated significant interest among participants. More than 40 units of blood were collected during the camp and will be used for the treatment of patients in need.
IIBM Concludes Two-Week Innovation Program
The Indian Institute of Business Management (IIBM) successfully concluded a two-week Innovation Program conducted in collaboration with InUnity, an innovation-focused ecosystem development partner. Held under the theme “Think Different, Build Different,” the program aimed to equip MBA, BBA, and BCA students with practical skills in entrepreneurship, innovation, design thinking, customer discovery, and business model development.
Led by innovation experts Hemanth S Rao and Srajan S Kulal, the program featured interactive workshops, case studies, mentorship sessions, and hands-on exercises that encouraged students to identify real-world challenges and develop viable business solutions.
Student Teams Present Prototype Projects
The program culminated with student teams presenting prototype-based projects addressing issues in urban services, transportation, digital commerce, and community care. BBA students showcased a smart waste management application designed to streamline waste collection services. MBA participants developed a transparent auto-rickshaw booking platform and an automobile marketplace application aimed at improving price transparency for vehicle buyers. BCA students presented an integrated care-services platform connecting users with verified healthcare and support service providers.
Speaking at the valedictory session, Prof Rohit Singh, Group Director of IIBM Group of Institutions and Dean of Management at Aryabhatta Knowledge University, praised the students’ creativity and encouraged them to transform innovative ideas into successful ventures. He emphasized the importance of innovation-driven learning in nurturing future entrepreneurs and changemakers.
