The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) conducted a Sahyog Shivir across six zones on Tuesday to address public grievances. The civic body registered a total of 282 applications, providing immediate resolution in 58 cases. Municipal commissioner Yashpal Meena supervised the camps and ensured that all applications were recorded on the Sahyog portal to facilitate tracking through reference numbers.
Special Counters and Application Distribution
In addition to municipal services, special counters were set up for complaints and applications related to electricity, revenue, and other departments. The maximum number of applications was received from the Kankarbagh circle, which accounted for 71 applications. Meanwhile, the Bankipur and Patliputra circles recorded the highest number of disposals, with 14 cases resolved each.
Vijay Prasad Kesari, a resident of Kankarbagh, expressed his satisfaction, stating, "The camp resolved my property mutation request and ensured that I receive a new electricity connection without further delay."
Participation of MLAs and Officials
Several MLAs, including Sanjeev Chaurasia from the Digha constituency, participated in the camps. Mayor Sita Sahu and other senior PMC officials visited the camp sites to ensure smooth operations. Officials revealed that approximately 20% of the applications received on-the-spot attention, while the remaining cases entered a mandatory 30-day resolution cycle. According to the district administration's roster, these camps are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
District Administration Coordination
The Patna district administration coordinated logistics and departmental integration across 67 locations, including 41 gram panchayats and 17 urban bodies. Patna District Magistrate Thiyagarajan S M led the exercise, deploying senior nodal officers at every site to manage 19 specialised help desks. This arrangement enabled the administration to process applications related to health, electricity, and revenue alongside municipal services.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary visited the Naubatpur block camp to oversee the distribution of benefits under schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, ration card allotments, and labour welfare programmes. Principal secretary Vinay Kumar and divisional commissioner Mayank Warwade also inspected camps in Sampatchak, Phulwarisharif, and Bankipur to monitor the functioning of the initiative.
Upcoming Camps
The next Sahyog Shivir is scheduled for June 16, continuing the monthly cycle of grievance redressal efforts.
